Soziales Engagement
Unser sozialer Beitrag: Wir spenden 5 % unserer Einnahmen aus der Performance Fee für wohltätige Zwecke. Aktuell unterstützen wir den Verein „Visions for Kenya and Zambia e. V.“, dessen Vorstand Jutta Fleischer und Dr. Jörg Rahn mit großem persönlichen Engagement tätig sind.

Unsere erste Spende ist im Waisenhaus in Kenia angekommen:
Dear Jutta and all donors,
Warm greetings to you.
I want to sincerely thank you for being part of the Body of Christ Children’s Home. Your support and presence mean more than words can express. It’s people like you who remind us that we are not alone in this journey.
I also wanted to share something from the heart. As a home and school dedicated to caring for vulnerable children—many of whom come from families that cannot afford school fees or even daily meals—we often find ourselves in a difficult position. While we are deeply grateful for the donations we receive, they are usually in the form of foodstuffs or clothing. Rarely do we receive financial support, and as a result, we almost never have cash on hand.
It’s a painful reality. There are moments when we want to do more—buy medicine, pay a teacher, fix a broken roof—but we simply don’t have the money. It’s not because we lack the will or the vision, but because our hands are tied by the limits of our resources. In fact, some of our teachers and staff are volunteers, giving their time and energy out of pure love and commitment to the children.
In the past, we had a weaving project that was going very well. Most of our clients were foreigners who appreciated the quality and beauty of our mats. Unfortunately, after COVID, the market collapsed. Travel restrictions and economic shifts meant our clients stopped ordering, and we were forced to shut down the initiative. It was a difficult blow, especially after seeing how much potential it had.
That experience taught us how fragile our efforts can be without the right support. That’s why we’re now working to start a bakery—something we believe can truly make a difference.
We plan to bake cakes and bread to sell to the surrounding community and local shops. After conducting a survey, we discovered that our area doesn’t have a bakery, yet almost every household consumes bread daily. This gives us a strong and reliable target market, and we’re confident the bakery will be successful. It’s not just a business—it’s a lifeline for the children and a step toward sustainability and dignity.
We’re not giving up. But we are walking a hard road. And knowing that you’re walking it with us gives us strength.
With gratitude and hope,
Mary
